Dosage

  • Standard Batch (5–6 gallons): Use 1 sachet.
  • Larger Batches: Use 2–3 grams of yeast per gallon of wort. Round up to a full sachet rather than measuring precisely for the best performance.

Direct Pitch or Rehydration
Our Hazy Yeast is designed for convenience—simply sprinkle it directly onto your wort without the need for oxygenation during initial fermentation. The advanced aerobic growth process ensures high yeast viability and optimal sterol levels for strong, complete fermentation.

For those who prefer rehydrating:

  1. Sanitize the yeast sachet and scissors.
  2. Mix 10 grams of sterilized water (85-95°F / 29-35°C) with 0.25 grams of FermStart per gram of yeast.
  3. Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let sit for 20 minutes without stirring.
  4. Gently swirl and adjust to within 10°F (6°C) of wort temperature before pitching.

  • Flocculation: Medium-Low (contributes to the haze)
